My family and I recently spent a few hours on a Saturday kayaking Upper and Lower Lake Nemahbin and Lake Nashotah. Although we have all done a lot of lake and river kayaking, we had never kayaked on these lakes before.
We had a great time getting out of the kayaks and swimming in Lake Nashota along the way. I enjoyed watching the 27-year-old brother and 16-year-old sister in our group laughing, joking, splashing, and “playing” in the water!
Beginning with my initial email contacts with Jon to organize our day, our experience with PRS Watersports was flawless. Jon responded promptly to my multiple email inquiries and was so friendly and helpful in making suggestions to ensure that our experience was a good one.
I have rented kayaks from many different places in the southeastern Wisconsin area. Jon was the first person to take the time to give a brief introduction to paddling and kayak maneuvering techniques. It was immediately evident that Jon doesn’t just rent out kayaks but is experienced and knowledgable from a personal love of, and experience with kayaking.
6-12-2020 J945PDjimd (Jim and Coleen) Fantastic Kayak Trip on the Bark River and Crooked Lake! My sister and I went on the Bark River Tour. We had a fantastic time! The kayaks and life vests were very clean. Jon was on time to drop them off and was waiting for us at the end. He also had maps to show us so we had an idea of where we were going and what we could expect. I’d highly recommend this company!
The Bark River had a fairly slow current and curved back & forth making it fun and relaxing. When we got to Crooked Lake, we kayaked along the shoreline where we saw fish, birds, and turtles. At one point, we tucked our kayaks into the cattails in a cove and enjoyed the lunch we brought with us. It was so quiet and peaceful!

7-20-2019 James The Bark river was awesome PRS picks you up at the park and ride and drops you off at the launch. They provide you with a life jacket and waterproof case for your phone, keys, and map. The bark river has a nice gentle flow to it so you don’t have to expend too much energy paddling. Most of the river has a relatively sandy bottom where you can get out and lounge in the water. PRS picks you up at the base of a bridge on Gennessee Rd. If it’s a hot day and you’re looking for something to do rent a kayak and paddle the Bark.
7-16-2019 AShores1 First kayak tour This was a great experience! The owner was very knowledgeable. He was on time for our pick up, actually was there before we got there. He has All new Old Town kayaks. Had a map for us in a waterproof bag, was on time for our extraction. This is a fun tour, easy paddling in slow moving river. Clear water for a swim. Just a great experience.
